Mr. Taylor is a criminal justice professional with more than 25 years experience in law enforcement operations, training, and education. He has a distinguished background in policing, having served in positions of Police Officer through Chief of New Mexico State Police, including a period as the Deputy Secretary of Public Safety. Additionally, Mr. Taylor has extensive experience in field operations and development of management courses for Law Enforcement Academies. Mr. Taylor was instrumental in the development and revision of the following New Mexico State Police Programs: First Line Supervisor & Mid-management Course, Physical Fitness program, Law Enforcement curriculum for NMSP Academy along with the PEER Support program. Mr. Taylor also directed the Promotional process for the New Mexico State Police. Prior to his current assignment, Mr. Taylor served as the Chief of the New Mexico State Police and Deputy Secretary of Public Safety.
